Hands-on learning and virtual museum resources

The Burke's Education Fun Pack program provides over ten hours of combined hands-on and virtual STEAM curriculum to engage young scientists. Families will uncover and identify real natural history specimens, hear the story of the Tufts-Love T. rex, take a virtual tour with Burke educators, peek behind the scenes with Burke scientists, go on a scavenger hunt, and turn their box into a 3D animal habitat!

All necessary materials are contained within a compact mailable box, so students across Washington State can engage in hands-on Burke Museum activities. Fun Pack virtual content is asynchronous and accessible through the end of the school year to provide maximum flexibility for families without stable internet access.

How do I get one?

Fossil Finders Fun Packs are available for $65 (+ tax) in the Burke Museum Store. Burke members save 10% on their purchase of a Fossil Finders Fun Pack.

Packs are assembled in small batches by our dedicated Burke educators. Stock is limited — reserve yours today!

Education Fun Pack FAQ

The Fossil Finders Fun Pack is recommended for ages 4–10.

Safety note: Pack contains small parts. 

Each Fossil Finders Fun Pack provides virtual access and tools for a single student.

Internet is required to access virtual content.

Students will also need scissors, crayons, and tape or glue.
